Biography
Ian has been providing legal services to construction projects across Australia for more than 25 years. In addition to working at the 'front end' of projects, he assists clients to manage the resolution of disputes and contract administration issues.
He is an acknowledged leader in the field of alliance contracting, having assisted in the establishment of project and strategic alliances for public and resources infrastructure developments across Australia.
Recent projects on which Ian has advised include:
the SEQIPP Rail $750m program alliances
Project alliances to deliver the Inner Northern Busway alliance and Eastern Busway
the $1bn Western Corridor Recycled Water Project
Townsville City Council's $300m Wastewater Upgrade Program
the expansion of Carborough Downs Coal Mine
the $850m Northern Territory Strategic Indigenous Housing and Infrastructure Program
Other projects on which he has played a leading role in contract documentation or dispute resolution include the Docklands Stadium, the Eastern Gas Pipeline, the Pacific Motorway, the Bauhinia and Hail Creek Regional Rail Links, Riparian Plaza and Suncorp Stadium.

Ian is a member of the Infrastructure Association of Queensland, the Institute of Arbitrators Australia, Australasian Alliance Association and the Dispute Resolution Board Foundation.
