Biography
Peter is the Head of the Insurance and Corporate Risk practice firmwide, and the Head of the practice group in Melbourne. He is also a former Managing Partner of the firm's Melbourne office.
He practises in litigation, specialising in personal injury and major torts. With 25 years' experience, he is one of Melbourne's most respected litigation lawyers. Peter handles the firm's larger and more important litigation matters that are likely to attract media attention.
He has significant experience in dust diseases claims (asbestos litigation) and portfolio management. He has also defended many occupational health and safety prosecutions and handles sensitive coronial inquests, where he advises companies on minimising any negative impact.
His clients include Allianz Australia Insurance Limited, AMP General Insurance Limited, Suncorp Metway, Vero Insurance and the Victorian Management Insurance Authority.
Peter is admitted to practice in Victoria, New South Wales, Queensland and the Australian Capital Territory.
Peter's expertise is recognised by several independent legal publications including PLC Which Lawyer? (2009), Asia Pacific Legal 500 (2009) as a recommended individual for Insurance and Chambers Global (2008 and 2010) where he is named as a leading Australian insurance lawyer.
