Biography
Bruce is one of Australia's leading corporate lawyers and is a significant contributor to corporate law and regulatory reform in Australia. He is the Chairman of the Brisbane office of Minter Ellison, a senior corporate law partner and has nearly 30 years' experience as a specialist corporate lawyer, acting for many large companies and government corporations.
Bruce has a particular interest in corporate governance and the duties and responsibilities of company directors and is a trusted adviser to many private and public sector Boards in Australia on corporate governance issues.
His involvement with corporate law reform in Australia includes the following:
Deputy Chair of the Law Council of Australia's Company Law Committee in Queensland
Chair of the Queensland Law Society's Company law Committee
Member of the Queensland State Council of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (AICD)
Member Law Committee of the Australian Institute of Company Directors
Member Australian Security and Investments Commission's Queensland Regional Liaison Committee
Bruce has long experience in acting for some of Australia's leading listed companies on stock exchange related issues and has acted in many major IPO's including being one of the lead partners in the demutualisation and listing of AMP on the ASX.
